WHAT HAPPENED?
United released their home and away shirts for the 2025-26 campaign earlier this month, and the fans were naturally excited to get their hands on the new kit. Simon Lloyd was among the supporters who visited the mega store to buy a new shirt, and noticed a policy sign displayed on a wall monitor, which read: "Due to licensing restrictions, we are unable to print Cantona, Beckham, and Ronaldo."

Manchester United later clarified the policy to , confirming that three icons, Cantona, Beckham and Ronaldo own their image rights, which means the club cannot print their names on shirts at their mega store.
